  1. Embassy RecommendationEach applicant must have an undergraduate degree from a Japanese university or have the equivalent or higher level or academic ability than a university or college graduate. Applicants are required to apply for a preliminary selection examination (interview and written examination) at the Japanese Embassy or Consulate. Please contact either of them for application and the preliminary selection examination.
2. University
RecommendationThe applicant must be a regular international student, with an undergraduate degree from a Japanese university or a university which has an academic agreement with Ryukoku University, or have the equivalent or a higher level of academic ability than a university or college graduate. 3. Domestic SelectionIf you are a privately-financed student already studying in Japan, you need a recommendation from the Japanese university in which you are currently enrolled.
