Sports Facilities

Sports are considered an important part of our education here at Ryukoku University. At Ryukoku University, we believe in providing the best environment for our students to strengthen their academic knowledge, and at the same time, develop their potential in sports to the fullest. To achieve this, we have two well equipped training rooms (gyms), one in Fukakusa campus and one in Seta campus, for our students to build up their physical body, a baseball field in our Seta campus, as well as Tennis courts, (in both campuses) for our students to play sports during their leisure time. In addition, for students who are interested in Sports, they can also take part in our numerous sports clubs or circles, like Kendo club, Archery club, Baseball club, Rugby club, Karate club, Badminton club, Basketball club, Volleyball Club etc where they can meet follow sportsman and exchange pointers or just to interact and make new friends.

TRAINING CENTER

Ryukoku University’s training center was started on the 1st of April 1994 in order to centralize the sports activities in Ryukoku University. The aim was also to create a sports center that will meet the needs of the future.
We have trainings rooms (gyms) in Fukakusa and Seta campus. In both of these training rooms (gyms), to ensure that students are able to exercise safely, we have specialized training instructors to coach our students on the correct way to use the training equipment.
The opening hours of our training rooms (gyms) is as follows.

FUKAKUSA Campus

Weekdays

15:00~20:00 (Regular semester time)

10:00~16:30 (Supplementary class/Examination Period/Vacation Break)

Saturdays

13:00~16:30

SETA Campus

Weekdays

15:00~19:30 (Regular semester time)

10:00~16:30 (Supplementary class/Examination Period/Vacation Break)

Saturdays

13:00~16:30

ABOUT THE USE OF OUR TRAINING ROOMS (GYM)

Students who wish to use the training rooms (gyms) have to attend a one-time orientation on the correct ways to use the facilities. For the orientation dates, please check the bulletin boards of the Gakusei bu (building 4) or the training rooms (gyms). You have to make a reservation with the Gakusei bu to attend the orientation.
