Student Course Surveys for First (Spring) Semester, 2010

Thank you for your continued support in Ryukoku University’s educational endeavors.
As a part of our continuing efforts at faculty development and educational improvement, student course surveys for first (spring) semester, 2010 will be carried out as outlined below.


The results of the survey are useful for faculty in tracking educational effects and improvement in their classes and serve as a source of information for further course improvement in terms of content and methods.
For this reason, your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

University-wide data will be published in booklet-format at a later date and distributed to each faculty member as well as being available for online viewing on the University website (access limited to on-campus viewing only). It is hoped that this will be useful for not only individual faculty members for improving their own teaching and students'learning but also aid in curricular and other improvements at the university, faculty, and departmental levels.

CLASSES TO SURVEY

All 2010 first (spring) semester foreign language classes; all lecture classes (excluding year-long classes and Special Courses for Foreign Students classes).


*For the Faculty of Science and Technology, in addition to the above foreign language and lecture classes, surveys will also be conducted in all seminars, directed reading, lab & experiment, and skill & practicum classes as well as all graduate school and combined undergraduate-graduate courses.

SURVEY PERIOD

*In general, surveys should be conducted in the final class meeting for each course.

Questions should be directed to the planning office in the Ryukoku University Center of Educational Development (RUCED), or the University or Faculty academic offices on each campus.
