This photo shows a day in the fieldwork course in Yakushima. Yakushima island is a world natural heritage site in Japan, where I have been studying wild Japanese macaques since 1986.
A female gorilla in the Moukalaba-Doudou National Park in Gabon (Africa), where I have been studying wild gorillas and chimpanzees in the tropical forest since 1997.
