国際学部の平塚貴晶教授、マシュー・ナール氏（博士課程2年）、ワキーム・カステヤーノ氏（博士課程3年）が執筆した論文（Trans-speakerism: A trioethnographic exploration into diversity, equity, and inclusion in language education）がQ1ジャーナル「Language and Education」に出版されました。「Language and Education」は、インパクトファクターが2.432(2022-2023)の世界的に見ても極めて高い権威と競争力を持つ国際学術誌です。本論では、トリオエスノグラフィーという研究方法を採用しつつ、ネイティブスピーカー主義からトランススピーカー主義という新しいイデオロギーに移行する必要性の根拠を提示しています。このイデオロギーは、母語や文化に関係なく、すべての言語話者や教師のために多様性、公平性、包摂を推進する姿勢です。また、英語話者・教師を指す新しい用語として、Global speakers/teachers of English（GSE/GTEs）の使用を提案しています。

Prof. Takaaki Hiratsuka, Matthew Nall (2nd-year PhD candidate), and Joachim Castellano (3rd-year PhD candidate) of the Faculty of International Studies authored a paper entitled "Trans-speakerism: A trioethnographic exploration into diversity, equity, and inclusion in language education" published in the Q1 journal "Language and Education". Language and Education is an international academic journal with high authority and competitiveness from a global perspective—with a 2022-2023 impact factor of 2.432. The article provides evidence for the need to replace native-speakerism with the contemporary ideology of trans-speakerism—a stance committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for all language speakers/teachers, irrespective of their first languages or cultures. It also suggests the use of new terms, global speakers/teachers of English (GSEs/GTEs), to refer to English speakers/teachers.
