学生レポ：奈良・宇治で歴史・日本文化を体感＜R-STEPプログラム＞【Ｒ-Globe】
2026年7月9日（木）から7月22日（水）まで、龍谷大学の海外協定校の学生を対象に、短期留学プログラム「R-STEP（Ryukoku Short-Term Experience Program）」を開催しています。今年は5カ国から17名の学生が参加しました。
7月11日（土）プログラム3日目のフィールドトリップでは奈良の春日大社・東大寺、宇治の平等院・鳳凰堂を訪れました。
以下、R-STEP参加学生のレポートを紹介します。

Today, we visited Kasuga Taisha and Todai-ji in Nara, where we had the chance to see many friendly deer roaming freely around the temples. It was a unique experience to interact with them while exploring these famous historical sites. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture made the visit even more memorable.
After that, we traveled to Uji to visit Byodo-in Temple, one of Japan’s most iconic cultural landmarks. We also experienced Uji’s rich matcha culture by trying a variety of matcha-based treats and desserts. From traditional sweets to other matcha specialties, everything was rich in flavor and gave us a deeper appreciation for Uji’s famous tea culture.

本日は奈良の春日大社と東大寺を訪れました。お寺や神社の周辺を自由に歩き回る人懐っこい鹿たちをたくさん見ることができ、とても印象的でした。歴史ある名所を巡りながら鹿と触れ合うことができるのは、他ではなかなか味わえない貴重な体験でした。穏やかな雰囲気と美しい建築も相まって、非常に思い出深い訪問となりました。
その後、宇治へ移動し、日本を代表する文化遺産の一つである平等院を訪れました。また、宇治ならではの豊かな抹茶文化も体験し、さまざまな抹茶スイーツやデザートを味わいました。伝統的な和菓子から抹茶を使った多彩な名物まで、どれも風味豊かで、宇治の誇るお茶文化への理解と appreciation（魅力への理解）をより深めることができました。

The deer in Nara are truly adorable and charming to interact with. The shrines throughout the city are
incredibly grand and awe-inspiring, reflecting a deep sense of history. Furthermore, the architecture of
Byodo-in Temple is exceptionally magnificent, showcasing a breathtaking level of craftsmanship and
elegance that leaves a lasting impression.

奈良の鹿は本当に愛らしく、触れ合っていてとても楽しい存在でした。また、市内にある神社はどれも非
常に壮大で、長い歴史を感じさせる荘厳な雰囲気に圧倒されました。
さらに、平等院の建築は格別に見事で、その卓越した職人技と優雅な美しさには深い感銘を受けました。
細部に至るまで美しく造られており、一度見たら忘れられないほどの印象を残してくれました。

Today’s field trip felt like a conversation across time. Walking through Kasuga Taisha and Todai-ji, I felt a deep sense of serenity and grandeur before the ancient trees and the Great Buddha. In the afternoon, we strolled to Uji's Byodoin, quietly admiring the Reflection of the Phoenix Hall on the water. This journey was not just a sightseeing tour, but a soulful cultural baptism. The weight of history and the beauty of the moment are now deeply treasured in my camera and heart.

今日の校外学習は、まるで時を超えた対話のようでした。春日大社と東大寺を訪れ、古木と大仏を前にして、歳月の静けさと荘厳さを深く感じました。午後には宇治の平等院へと足を延ばし、水面に美しく映る鳳凰堂の姿を静かに見つめました。この旅は単なる観光ではなく、心を洗われるような文化の洗礼でした。歴史の重みとこの瞬間の美しさは、カメラの中、そして私の心の中に大切にしまわれています。
