学生レポ：西本願寺・金閣寺・マンガミュージアムで歴史・日本文化を体感＜R-STEPプログラム＞【Ｒ-Globe】
2026年7月9日（木）から7月22日（水）まで、龍谷大学の海外協定校の学生を対象に、短期留学プログラム「R-STEP（Ryukoku Short-Term Experience Program）」を開催しています。今年は5カ国から17名の学生が参加しました。
7月14日（火）プログラム6日目のフィールドトリップでは西本願寺・金閣寺・御金神社・マンガミュージアムを訪れました。
以下、R-STEP参加学生のレポートを紹介します。

Today we got the chance to look at some monuments in Kyoto. The trip started with a visit to Nishi Honganji where we had a guided tour. What I found really interesting were the different ornaments on the floor. Then we went to Kinkakuji which was just beautiful. We had lunch at a small cafe nearby, the food was very good. Afterwards we did a quick visit to Mikane Shrine where we prayed for our luck. Our tour ended at Kyoto International Manga Museum. It was the perfect place for someone who loves manga. Even though it was very hot and humid, I enjoyed our field trip very much.

本日は、京都にあるいくつかの名所を見学する機会がありました。まず最初に西本願寺を訪れ、ガイド付きの見学ツアーに参加しました。特に興味深かったのは、床に施されたさまざまな装飾です。その後、金閣寺を訪れましたが、ただただ美しかったです。近くの小さなカフェで昼食をとりましたが、料理はとてもおいしかったです。続いて、御金神社を訪れ、幸運を願ってお参りをしました。そして、ツアーの最後には京都国際マンガミュージアムを見学しました。そこはマンガが好きな人にとってまさに理想的な場所でした。とても暑く湿度の高い一日でしたが、今回のフィールドトリップを心から楽しむことができました。

to start off the day, a few of us went to a cafe to get breakfast while waiting for our tour of Nishi Hongwanji. once we got to nishi hongwanji we had a tour around both of the halls, the architecture was very beautiful. then we got on the bus to go to kinkakuji, the golden pavilion. we walked around the gardens surrounding the building and it was very peaceful. after that, we went for lunch in a small traditional styled cafe, and it was very good. then we went to a small shrine that we could pray for financial success at, before walking to the manga museum where i learned about different manga-ka and read some manga.

一日の始まりに、私たち数人は西本願寺の見学ツアーを待つ間、朝食を取るためにカフェへ行きました。西本願寺に到着すると、2つの御堂を見学するツアーに参加しましたが、その建築はとても美しかったです。その後、バスに乗って金閣寺（鹿苑寺）へ向かいました。建物の周りの庭園を散策し、とても静かで落ち着いた雰囲気を楽しみました。続いて、伝統的な雰囲気の小さなカフェで昼食をとりましたが、とてもおいしかったです。その後、金運や仕事の成功を祈願できる小さな神社を訪れ、参拝しました。最後に、マンガミュージアムへ歩いて向かい、さまざまな漫画家について学んだり、実際にマンガを読んだりしました。

During the field trip, I visited Kinkaku-ji and Nishi Hongwan-ji. Kinkaku-ji impressed me with its beautiful golden building reflected in the pond, while Nishi Hongwan-ji had a peaceful atmosphere and amazing wooden architecture. Visiting these two famous temples helped me learn more about Japanese history, religion, and traditional culture. It was a meaningful experience, and I enjoyed seeing these historic places in person.

学習で、私は金閣寺と西本願寺を訪れました。金閣寺では、美しい金色の建物が池に映る姿がとても印象的でした。一方、西本願寺は静かで落ち着いた雰囲気があり、見事な木造建築に感動しました。これら二つの有名な寺院を訪れたことで、日本の歴史や宗教、そして伝統文化についてより深く学ぶことができました。とても意義のある経験となり、実際にこのような歴史ある場所を見ることができて嬉しかったです。
