We develop human resources with the ability to formulate and implement policies based on the theory of sustainable development.

Based on the founding spirit of the university, the Graduate School of Policy Science aims to cultivate "Local Public Policy Human Resources" with the ability to formulate and implement policies, by acquiring civic skills supported by expertise in contemporary human issues based on the philosophy of coexistence, and policy research skills that enable them to envision collaborative problem-solving approaches.

The Graduate School develops new learning through the synergy effect created by the participation of adult graduate students and young graduate students in education and research across sectors. We also provide a fulfilling education by returning the results of joint research and research projects conducted in collaboration between the university and local communities.

The master's program offers two courses with the aim of clarifying the goals of study and actively promoting systematic coursework to foster highly specialized professionals and researchers with civic public-mindedness.

The curriculum is designed to enable working people to learn while they work, with courses offered in the evenings and on Saturdays, as well as courses aimed at acquiring practical skills that can be used at work and in social situations.

In the Graduate School, the term "policy" is discussed not only as referring to government and municipal policies, but also to private-sector activities, including corporate, NPO, and civic activities. The study of policy studies is a very three-dimensional and dynamic research approach, including the nature of the bearers.
