学生レポ：清水寺散策・お寿司作りと和菓子作り体験＜R-STEPプログラム＞【Ｒ-Globe】
2026年7月9日（木）から7月22日（水）まで、龍谷大学の海外協定校の学生を対象に、短期留学プログラム「R-STEP（Ryukoku Short-Term Experience Program）」を開催しています。今年は5カ国から17名の学生が参加しました。
7月20日（月）プログラム12日目のフィールドトリップではレンタル着物に身を包み、清水寺を訪れ、お寿司・和菓子作りを体験しました。
以下、R-STEP参加学生のレポートを紹介します。

Our day out on 20th July was one of the most enjoyable experiences so far. Wearing yukatas was really an immersive experience and one that I will never forget in my entire life. After renting the yukatas we went to the famous Kiyomizudera temple. The temple itself was absolutely gorgeous but views of the Kyoto skyline were one to remember. We also tried the matcha ice cream and also went the ghibli store located nearby. It was all so dream like and an experience I always wanted to have. After which we headed towards the sushi making experience which made us all realize how difficult making sushi really is. We struggled but made something edible for our lunch. Soon after we also had the wagashi making experience where we made Kyoto special dessert. Wagashi making is a type of art in itself and we all realized that as soon as we were handed the ingredients to craft the sweet. Over all the outing gave us a wonderful opportunity to experience the Japanese culture, traditions, history and cuisine and was a very well rounded day to end our little experience trip in Kyoto, Japan.

7月20日の外出は、これまでの中でも特に楽しい経験の一つでした。浴衣を着ることは本当に日本文化に浸ることのできる体験であり、私の人生の中でも決して忘れることのない思い出となりました。
浴衣をレンタルした後、私たちは有名な清水寺を訪れました。寺院そのものも非常に美しかったのですが、そこから見渡せる京都の街並みの景色は特に印象的で、忘れられないものでした。また、抹茶アイスクリームを味わったり、近くにあるジブリショップにも立ち寄ったりしました。すべてがまるで夢のようで、以前からずっと体験したいと思っていたことばかりでした。その後、私たちは寿司作り体験へ向かいました。そこで、寿司を作ることが実際にはどれほど難しいかを思い知らされました。みんな苦戦しましたが、なんとか昼食として食べられるものを作ることができました。さらにその後は和菓子作り体験にも参加し、京都ならではの伝統的なお菓子を作りました。和菓子作りはそれ自体が一つの芸術であり、そのことを私たちは材料を手渡された瞬間から実感しました。全体を通して、この外出は日本の文化、伝統、歴史、そして食文化を体験する素晴らしい機会となりました。また、日本・京都での私たちの研修旅行を締めくくるにふさわしい、充実した一日だったと思います。
