Outline:
The lighting inside the Starbucks store on the Fukakusa Campus is replaced with tea lights so that visitors can experience an environment where there is no light. Moreover, only the minimum number of outdoor lights are turned on near the East Gate, and as a substitute, lighting is operated using a power source from the sedan-type fuel cell vehicle “MIRAI” (Toyota) (zero CO2 emissions) borrowed from the Environment Division of the Kyoto Prefectural Government. In this setting, circle members of the University show off their performance.
This event aims to have the members of the University realize the importance and preciousness of energy used in our daily lives and to enhance their awareness toward energy and resource saving.
